Puppy Course Details
To ensure your classes run safely, smoothly, and enjoyably for everyone,
please read and adhere to the following class information and policies:
Sessions
- 6 weekly in-person practical sessions (55–60 mins)
- Arrive 15 minutes before the start time
- Puppies stay in the car for the first 10–15 minutes while everyone arrives, and we talk through the plan - there is no need to get your puppies out straight away.
Location
Main Road (B6465), Wardlow, SK17 8RP
When you get to the location, please drive slowly into the yard - through the gate and past the barn on the right.
Parking is under the trees on the right.

Opposite the old red telephone box and church/village hall.
On Arrival
- Leave your puppy in the car
- Take your training kit onto the field - we will be working near the cars, and the gate will be shut behind us while you will be training.
- Head into the barn for a tea/coffee
- We’ll get the puppies out together once everyone has arrived & we've done housekeeping
What to Bring
Essentials
- Mat or blanket
- Water & bowl
- Poo bags - please ensure you clean up after your dogs and take it home with you.
- Treat bag + high-value treats
- Flat collar or front-clip harness
- Lead (no extendable or slip leads)
- Weather-appropriate clothing and footwear
Training kit
- Stuffed Kong or chew
- Tug or favourite toy; We love Tug-e-Nuff toys: Crazy Thing, Fur Tuggers, Pocket Squeaker
- Retrieve toy/dummy/ball
- Gundog whistle

General Conduct, Attitude & Safety
- All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous, and cooperative manner at all times.
- A positive attitude is essential.
- Please be open to instruction, supportive of others, and mindful that everyone is at different stages of training.
- Safety is paramount; please follow all instructions given by the trainers
- The trainers reserve the right to refuse or remove any participant or dog whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, disrespectful, or unsuitable for our courses.
- Any aggressive, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
Respect for the Ground
Please treat it with care and respect:
- No littering – take all rubbish home with you
- Do not damage crops, fences, hedges, or property
- Stick to designated parking and training areas
- Pick up after your dog where appropriate
- Please don't let your dogs dig up the ground (interrupt them where necessary)
- Please don't let them pee on our equipment & posts
Dog Welfare & Control
● Dogs must be fit, healthy, and appropriately trained for the exercises
● Dogs should remain under control at all times
● Any dog showing aggression towards people or other dogs may be asked to leave
● Water, shade, and rest periods will be provided for your dog as required
● If the weather is too hot or too cold for the welfare of your dogs, as it states on your course booking page, the session will be done live over Zoom just like an in person session.
